KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has decided not to issue new currency notes on Eid-ul-Fitr 2023. No new notes will be issued to the public on Eid-ul-Fitr. No new notes were issued last year in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
State Bank has taken a major decision regarding the issue of new currency notes on Eid-ul-Fitr, according to which notes will not be distributed on Eid-ul-Fitr this year and in this regard, State Bank has issued instructions to all chief managers. Before Corona epidemic, State Bank used to issue new currency notes on the occasion of Eid.
