Eligibility Criteria
Worker as defined under the definition of “employee” in the IRA 2010; as defined under section 2 (f) of the Workers’ Welfare Fund Ordinance or section 2 (b) of the Companies Profits (Workers’ Participation) Act. 1S68. The above mentioned establishment should be registered under Factories Act 1934/Mines Act 1923.
They are registered with Social Security or EOBI schemes and have a minimum of 03 (three) years of aggregate service. However, there is no prescribed service limit for scholarships up to Intermediate level. Must be in service at the time of submission of application form, however, children of the deceased/disabled worker are eligible to apply for the scholarship provided the widow/legal heirs of the deceased worker have received death grant from PWWB and In case of disabled workers, the worker was retired due to disability and is receiving disability benefits from PESSI/EOBI. A bona fide child of a worker who has the minimum marks to pass the previous class prescribed by the concerned Board/University/Institution. Regularly enrolled/enrolled on merit for studies under the following categories.
Procedures
Applications are received in the respective offices of the District Officers Labour/Assistant Mines Labor Welfare Commissioners. After verification of the applications by the Area Labor Officer / Mines Labor Welfare Officer, the cases are placed before the concerned District / Regional Scrutiny Committee, constituted in each District / Mines Labor Welfare Region and on the recommendation of the Scrutiny Committee. Is. Punjab Workers Welfare Board issues checks in respect of individual applicants for distribution through the concerned District Labor Officer / Assistant Mines Labor Welfare Commissioners.
Scholarship categories and rates.
All student expenses plus admission fees. tuition fee. Transport charges, hostel messing charges, registration fee. Examination fee. Library fees. Lab fee. Computer fees (except for charitable funds and refundable or non-refundable securities), a fixed scholarship will be paid as per the following categories.

The Punjab Workers Welfare Board (PWWB) is a body corporate established by a notification of the Government of Punjab under the Workers Welfare Fund Ordinance 1971.
Note:
Students studying in Workers Welfare Schools. COMSATS Lahore Campus. Govt Paramedics College. Faisalabad and any other university/institution where admission is done on workers’ quota are not eligible.
Conditions
(1) If the student applies for the scholarship for the first time i.e. at the time of admission:-
Copy of Computerized National Identity Card of Worker attested by Gazetted Officer. Copy of valid Certificate of Registration of Factory/Establishment under Factories Act. 1934/Mines Act. 1923 Confirmed by the employer of the establishment. Copy of factory card of the worker attested by the employer of the establishment. Copy of social security card (R-5) or EOBI card of the worker attested by the employer of the establishment. Copy of the appointment letter attested by the employer of the establishment or service certificate along with the original complete material of employment. Copy of Student Card attested by Head / Authorized Officer of Educational Institution. Copy of student’s CNIC or Form-6 (in case the student is below 18 years) issued by NADRA and attested by the employer. Enrollment certificate issued by the Head / Authorized Officer of the educational institution.
In this case, if the educational institution is other than a Government-run/Public Sector Institute/University/College, a copy of the registration/affiliation notification of the concerned institution from the Government/Directorate/HEC/Board (as the case may be) be). Copy of previously passed examination attested by Head/Authorized Officer of the educational institution. An affidavit by the workman on stamp paper of SQ/- attested by the Oath Commissioner that:
Mr./Ms. is my real son/daughter. The student depends on me. Will refund all educational expenses and stipend received from Workers Welfare Fund if the information given in this affidavit as well as the application form is found to be incorrect at any stage. will refund all educational expenses and stipend received from the Workers’ Welfare Fund, incurred on his education if he has dropped out at the intermediate/incomplete stage of the concerned class/programme.
Original payment vouchers (if any) or copies thereof duly attested by the Head/Authorized Officer of the educational institution in respect of educational expenses/boarding charges/mess charges or other expenses.
(In case of children of deceased/disabled workers): Death certificate and proof of receipt of death grant from PWWB or disability certificate and proof of receipt of disability benefits from PESSI/EOBI (as the case may be).
Proof of bank account/copy of cheque.
(2) In the event, if the student applies for the scholarship for the next year/semester of the same degree/programme, he/she has to submit/submit only:-
Copy of the examination previously passed by the Head / Authorized Officer of the educational institution. Certificate of admission to next class/semester.
Original payment vouchers (if any) or copies thereof duly attested by the Head/Authorized Officer of the educational institution in respect of educational expenses/boarding charges/mess charges or other expenses.
Terms & Conditions
Further terms and conditions for award of scholarship to children of workers falling under Cat-ll and III are as follows:-
Prior clearance of National Testing Service (NTS) examination, if mandated under HEC regulations or any other preliminary examination, to gain admission.
Students will only enroll in HEC approved courses.
The student will take/study all the subjects in the semester offered by the public/private college/university etc. And, complete your course within the minimum time frame approved by HEC. For the said course. If a student fails to complete his/her course within the time approved by HEC.
His case may be reviewed on the basis of cogent reasons submitted by the student as verified by the Public/Private College/University etc., as the case may be. and supported with documentary evidence.
A student once registered in a course will not be allowed to change the chosen discipline. Only a number of postgraduate level courses will be funded by VWVF.
In principle, the scholarship scheme is applicable up to post-graduation level. However, the award of scholarship after postgraduate level courses will be considered on a case-to-case basis and will be permitted only with the prior approval of the Chairman. Provincial VWVB or Secretary (VWVF), as the case may be.
