Eligibility for MS/MPhil:
4-year education (130 credit hours) after relevant Masters Degree / Intermediate, with minimum CGPA 2.5 in semester system or Second Division in annual system. Candidates must have passed GAT (General) conducted by NTS with minimum 50% marks.
Eligibility for Ph.D.:
MS/MPhil Candidates having 18 years of education with minimum CGPA 3.0 in Semester System or First Division in Annual System. Candidates must clear GAT (Subject) Test conducted by NTS with minimum 60% marks.

Admission Schedule
Last date for submission of admission form and NTS registration is Thursday 26 August 2022.
Candidates can apply for GAT-General (MS/M.Phil) and GAT-Subject (Ph.D.) for admission to Ph.D. on NTS website www.nts.org.pk for GAT (Subject). Will register. And GAT (General) for MPhil admission will be conducted by NTS on 1st March 2022. Candidates are advised to visit University of Peshawar website www.uop.edu.pk for Eligibility, Seat Breakup, GAT and other details.
A candidate possessing a valid GAT-Subject or GAT-General score card is not required to appear for the above test conducted by NTS on 1st March 2020. He will submit the correct score card along with his Ph.D. /MPhil/MS Admission Form Only those candidates whose results have been declared/notified by the Controller of Examinations on or before the last date of form submission will be considered for admission. Candidates employed in any Government or Semi-Government Department/Organization should submit No Objection Certificate from the concerned Department/Organization before provisional admission. Provision of hostel accommodation shall be subject to availability of seats and shall not be claimed as a matter of right. If found ineligible in the examination, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the interview even if he has qualified the GAT (Subject)/GAT (General) test. Further, if the candidate appears for the interview and is later found ineligible for any reason, his/her admission will be canceled at any stage. In case of ambiguity regarding eligibility, the opinion of the Graduate Studies Committee of the concerned department shall be considered final. All HEC/University of Peshawar rules and regulations will be applicable to the admitted scholars.
