On May 1, 1886, the workers, capitalists and industrialists of the American city of Chicago took to the streets on exploitation, but the police opened fire on the procession, killing hundreds of workers and injuring them while calling for their rights. Dozens of them were hanged.
International Workers’ Day is celebrated on May 1 in most countries around the world to show solidarity with the workers of Chicago. May 1 is celebrated every year with a pledge to make efforts to change the economic conditions of workers.
