World Labor Day is being celebrated to highlight the sacrifices of workers and their rights all over the world, including Pakistan, and in this regard, rallies will be held in all the big and small cities.
Even on the day celebrated for workers, the worker goes to work for the bread of his children without knowing the importance of this day. On May 1, 1886, the workers, capitalists and industrialists of the American city of Chicago took to the streets on exploitation, but the police opened fire on the procession, killing hundreds of workers and injuring them while calling for their rights. Dozens of them were hanged.
International Workers’ Day is celebrated on May 1 in most countries around the world to show solidarity with the workers of Chicago. May 1 is celebrated every year with a pledge to make efforts to change the economic conditions of workers. The celebration of Labor Day at the national level in Pakistan started in 1973 during the regime of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
