HEC Undergraduate Scholarships for students from Balochistan and FATA
Applications are invited from eminent students of Balochistan and erstwhile FATA who
Pursue undergraduate studies in HEC recognized public/private sector universities/degree awarding institutions of Pakistan. Scholarships are being offered in all disciplines for the academic year 2020-21.
Study/Discipline (Phase – II) Batch-V under the Project titled Providing Higher Education Opportunities to Students of Balochistan and FATA. Announcement of four-year scholarship program for students of Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Rukhbali districts.
Eligibility:
FA/F.Sc/A-level or equivalent with minimum 60% marks.
Fee: Applicants have to deposit Rs.500/- (Non-Refundable) in HBL Account No. 17427900133401 as application fee and upload scan/photograph online while applying. The applicant should retain the original deposit slip for future requirements.

3200 students of these areas will be given 100% scholarships and 16852 students will be given 50% scholarships in the universities of Punjab. For the first time in its 72-year history, such a large scholarship program from Punjab. Students from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Tribal Districts who take admission in Punjab educational institutions on open merit will not be expelled from the university due to non-availability of fees. 50% discount on hostel fee.
Applicant must have obtained the required educational qualification on or before the last date. Students awaiting results are not eligible to apply. Only applicants having Domicile/Local Certificate of Balochistan and earlier FATA are eligible to apply.
Applicants who have studied F.Sc (Intermediate Level) in institutions located within the districts or agencies of Balochistan or FRs of erstwhile FATA fall under the category of BALOCHISTAN IN and FATA IN respectively. Those who have studied in F.Sc (Intermediate Level) in Balochistan and earlier in institutions outside FATA/FRs fall under BALOCHISTAN OUT and FATA OUT category respectively.
90% Scholarships will be awarded on population basis to students who have passed FA/FSc/I.Com/A level or equivalent from Districts/Agencies/FRs of FATA and Balochistan and fall under FATA IN category. will 10% scholarships will be given for Balochistan Out and Fata Out category in Balochistan.
This scholarship will be awarded only to candidates for undergraduate studies in HEC recognized Public/Private Sector Universities/Degree Awarding Institutes of Pakistan. The duration of the scholarship for undergraduate degree is 1 year which is annually for 4-5 years depending on the program enrolled subject to satisfactory academic performance.
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of Aptitude Test Score (conducted by HEC) and Educational Credential Score. Academic records will have 50% weightage and Aptitude test for undergraduate program will have 50% weightage.
HEC has launched a need-based scholarship program to provide financial assistance to Pakistani students who have a reasonably good academic record but are unable to pursue higher education solely due to financial constraints. Eligible for the scholarship is based on need assessment. And the merit selection should be done on the basis of the information provided on the prescribed form after due verification. The scholarship stipend will be PKR. 60001- monthly plus tuition fee scholarships will be awarded to students who are currently enrolled in the academic session 2020-21
