How to Apply
The entry procedure is as follows:
Admission application form must be filled online following the instructions. Click here to apply for online admission. Applications received by post or by hand will not be accepted. The online system assigns a unique Application Reference Number (ARN) to each applicant, which must be noted for later use. The applicant shall deposit the application fee in the nominated bank. Fees are non-refundable/adjustable. Application Processing Fee Rs 1,500 All applicants including those seeking admission based on NTS (NAT or GAT) test only. If NTS is included with NU test application then Rs. 500 will be received.
If an applicant wants to take more than one entrance test, an additional fee of Rs.500 is payable for each additional entrance test. [For example, for taking both the BBA and the BS tests, or for taking both the MS (CS) and MS (SPM) tests.]
The applicant shall confirm that the information entered in the admission application form is correct. In case of incorrect information, the University reserves all rights to cancel the application/admission without refund of any fee.
On payment of the application processing fee (and additional entrance test fee), the applicant will print his admit card containing the applicant’s test roll number.
The applicant should then attend the test campus on the specified date and time mentioned on the admit card.
A student’s admission is automatically canceled if he fails the required examination the result of which was not available at the time of admission.
NU Online Admission Test
Information about various entrance tests is available on the university’s admissions website admissions.nu.edu.pk.
Online entrance test is conducted on computer. Candidate should be familiar with using mouse and keyboard. Each candidate is given a different test. Test sections (English, Analytical Skills, Mathematics etc.) appear in random order. Moreover, questions related to different topics are also presented to the candidate in random order. In each section, a candidate can go back and forth to review the selected answers. A candidate can change his/her answer to any question in the current section.
Each section of the entrance test has a fixed duration. Each section is timed independently and time left in one section does not carry over to the next sections. At the end of the test, a summary of the results is displayed on the screen. The online entrance test duration is between two to three hours.
Applicants should reach the examination center on the date and time mentioned on the admit card. Latecomers will not be allowed to take the exam. Applicants should not bring anything other than their admit card to the examination centre. No applicant will be allowed to appear for the examination without attested admit card. The entrance test is conducted in all campuses of the university (Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar).
Instructions
Fall 2021 admissions are now open. Bring your CNIC on the test day otherwise you will not be allowed to take the test. Please register online for admission application.
Once an applicant’s profile is created, the fee will be tailored based on the applicant’s preferences.
Select your payment mode.
A) For payment through Faisal Bank, print the challan form and submit your fee at any Faisal Bank branch.
b) To pay through easy paisa, generate your token and pay the fee through easy paisa shop or pay through your mobile account.
The fee will be confirmed with the respective test center/campus when the bank sends the details. This may take 2-3 working days.
Schedule your test after fee confirmation (if applied on NU test basis).
Print your admit card.
Visit the desired test center on the selected date and time. Try to reach the test center at least 30 minutes before the test start time to avoid any inconvenience.
