Eid-ul-Fitr moon is likely to be sighted on April 21, 2024. According to Rawit-Hilal Research Council, the meeting of the committee will be held on the evening of April 20, but the Eid moon is unlikely to be visible that evening, so Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday, April. 22, 2024 after completing 30 fasts.

According to Rawit Hilal Research Council, the birth of the moon will take place on Thursday, April 20 at 9:13 am Pakistani time. On this day i.e. 29th of Ramadan, the age of the moon at sunset, which should be more than 19 hours to be visible, will be less than 10 hours in all areas of Pakistan.

A meeting of the Central Royat Hilal Committee will be held today in the federal capital to see the Shawwal moon. Chairman Royat Hilal Committee Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad will preside over the meeting. The other members of the committee will be present in their respective positions in the zonal and district Royat Hilal Committees. The meeting of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Committee will be held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs near the General Post Office (GPO) Islamabad. Chairman Royat Hilal Committee Mufti Muneebur Rehman will give a decision on whether the moon will be visible or otherwise based on the information received.

Representatives of Ministry of Science and Technology, SPARCO and Department of Meteorology will also participate in the meeting. Meetings of zonal Sighting Crescent Committees will be held in Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar.
